Large assets require the highest possible transparency for the asset owner so that they can be maintained and developed in real terms. The area of asset controlling includes the recording and consolidation of large private assets across all asset classes.
To ensure that you have an overview of your assets and their development at all times, individual assets such as securities, real estate, private equity, hedge funds or entrepreneurial participations are valued at their respective market values.
Asset controlling enables effective control of the investment success, because the development of the total assets or individual parts of the assets (e.g. the custody account assets or individual custody accounts or their asset managers) can be compared with the relevant market indices and your personal objectives (e.g. sustainability) by benchmarking the performance achieved after tax.
For this purpose, we work with you to develop one or more reference indices that are composed according to your risk/return expectations and reflect the development of the relevant market indices.
They are the “yardstick” for the banks or asset managers you commission.
This enables a comparison of the performance actually achieved with the market development. Based on this, a precise analysis of the respective strengths and weaknesses of the commissioned banks and asset managers can be carried out.
The performance analysis includes, for example, statements on asset allocation, sector selection or stock picking and, in the area of bonds, on the creditworthiness of the debtors or the maturity structure.
In addition, relevant risk indicators such as volatility, the Sharpe ratio, the maximum drawdown or the Treynor ratio are measured to assess the risk situation of your assets.
